U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Wilmington District
This project entailed extensive environmental restoration efforts including the removal and disposal of all fallen and leaning trees. It involved the repair and replacement of drainage culverts and the stabilization of slopes at culvert outfalls using riprap. Sediment was mechanically dredged from the channel to clear blockages and enhance water flow. Slope repair and stabilization were achieved using a geotextile separator, aggregate bedding, and riprap armoring. The project concluded with the grading of disturbed areas and the establishment of new turf, ensuring a return to natural conditions and improved landscape stability.
